Read When The Baby Sleeps

I love historical fiction.  Over the holidays I started reading Along the Infinite Sea, Beatriz Williams' third novel in her series about the Schuyler Sisters, mid-century Park Avenue socialites.  Along the Infinite Sea introduces you to Pepper Schuyler.  The novels do not have to be read in order as each one focuses on one sister and just alludes to the others without spoilers. Then I moved on to the first novel, The Secret Life of Violent Grant, about sister Vivian, and finished the second novel, Tiny Little Thing, about sister Christina "Tiny."  It's really hard to pick a favorite!

I've tried to make L's nap time my reading time instead of scrolling through social media.  It's so much better for my energy and mind and reading is about the only thing that relaxes me enough to actually "sleep when the baby sleeps."  I have a Kindle Paperwhite and love the ease of ordering a new book off of my reading list!  I think bloggers are a great source of book recommendations, lately I've been getting ideas from Carly, The Stripe, and Dinner: A Love Story.

I'm going to take a break from Beatriz Williams, she has many more novels, and try something non-fiction-ish.  Next on my list are Kelly Corrigan's Tell Me More: Stories About the 12 Hardest Things I'm Learning to Say and The Middle Place.
